Looks like a churn !! How does it operate when the handle is turned ?? I suppose there is nothing written on it ??

The machine is a "meat chopper / hasher", patented by Leroy Starrett in 1865. Starrett later became famed for his precision machinist tools that bear his name.

Rauville - How did you know that!!?? :o
Excellent Job!!

I have never heard of those before !! How does it work ??
-
Turning the crank lifts the blade and lowers it!!! Thus chopping! The cup keeps the meat/hash together. It can also be used without the cup.
The company has made it through the years and is still in business!
