Title: Brass bottle stopper with animated characters
Post by: melbb on December 12, 2011, 10:29:05 am
My grandmother gave this to me about 50 years ago. It appeared old with a patina then. Any one have any idea of who the characters are or the age?

Thanks

Mel

I know I have seen these characters somewhere before....just can't get the brain cells to cooperate.  Will try and get ahold of parents and ask them...from 1900's.

Kinda reminds me of the French cartoon Tintin....Guess I think of France/wine....

However, really resembles Happy Hooligan in cartoons from 1900 - 1932
