Perhaps was a part of a 'dance-card/business-card' set ?

I'm curious to know if those are pens or pencils ....

Hi!  If this is like one i have seen (many many many years ago) one side on the back pops open to pull out pieces inside.  I does look like you have a hinge on one side.  Gently open and see if there is additional information inside!

These were worn on a chain and most often for golfers!  For women they were made for chatelaines and for men they would also be on a chain!
