Hi! Can someone please help me with identifying this cigarette box symbol. I've seen it somewhere but I can't recall where from. Any descriptive word would be appreciated too - Thanks in advance.
-
What is your location ?? Not like any I have ever seen in U.S. !! Are you sure its a cigarette box ?? What is the size ??
-
Reminds me of the boxes men would use to hold their change, handkerchiefs, pocket watches/knives in from the early/mid 1900's. My dad had a cedar one with his initial on top as well.
Believe it was called a Man's Valet.
-
That's more what it looks like to me too !! Can we see the inside ??
-
Here is from the inside. I'm from Croatia and I found this somewhere in the attic. Dimensions are: width - 23,5cm, height - 6,5cm and depth - 13,5cm.

Can you please tell me if that slanted wooden piece in the box is securely/glued in or does it lift up?
-
It can lift up to 45 degrees and stay like that so cigarettes can be easily inserted and available

By-the-way...I never answered your questions. It appears to be a monogram "H" to me. Up until the 60's it was very "in" to have a cigarette box sitting on the coffee table or a desk to offer to your guests. A monogrammed box was very prestigious.

I'm not that bright, my mother even left me out in the sun when I was a baby and I didn't absorb any of all that brightness but that looks like a nice box I would build to hold my router bits for wood working. Just a thought.. What diameter are the holes in the Box?
-
diameter of holes in the box are around 1cm
