The silk fabric is hand painted the card in it say Cassee Jeune b83 Made in France. The card is held in by 2 cuts made in the fabric. I believe it is 19th century. Don't know what language or what it reads. A note on the back said it is from a nun's mother. Does anyone know anything about it?

I tried a different translator just now and it came back with "Marjo, beware of this house and all what do walk, walk out with Him" :o
I'd have said anywhere from 1890 - 1940. The card in the top right looks like chromolitho, which would mean the earlier end of that spectrum. Any dates etc on the bottom of that card ?

No dates. I used a translator after and found that same saying. Isn't that an odd prayer? Maybe I don't understand it?
Mart, the tape with name is on the back of it. The Madonna is the card part.

Ok,, I got the same translation you did but it may lose/change some meaning when translated to English because it says it is a prayer !!

It doesn't say it's a prayer. We thought it was a prayer. Interesting for a mother to give to her daughter that is a nun? I'm going to look up the nun to see if I can find anything.
Looks like she died in 2002 at the age of 76.

Yes, context will matter. A literal translation might not be correct.

Using 'English' spelling strzec means guard, protect, observe and beware. As there is an accent over the second z in the word it's possible that it is pronounced with a 'c' sound…….. spelling it strzez brought no results

That would sound much better. Telling someone to get out because the house is evil isn't hopefully what it means.

I think the translation Ipcress gave first was the correct meaning !! To protect the house and all within !!
