Title: Wooden canteen

Wooden canteen made as a wooden barrel with iron bandage . Looks old but help needed in age and country and whatever information about it .

Wow that is a long link !!  Evidently these canteens have been used everywhere !! A couple of similar ones on this page !!  Look at fifth up from bottom !!  Not sure they were for water,, may have been wine, whiskey or other hard liquor !!

Thanks Mart for the link and there a lot off them made in a lot off countries . So now to figure out where this one is made and when I hope .  I.am living in the Netherlands .

What do you thing the dotted letters are?  66 or GG?

Just had a look but its part off a decoration going around the neck . So no letters or numbers .
