I would appreciate any information on a item I have displayed in my classroom for many years. It is a costume Roman looking Helmet and Breastplate. I have notice for the first time a welded metal tag inside the helmet, with the company's name who made it. Hugo Baruch & Co. Berlin & London made out of Metal.
Any information would be great thanks.

If you'd be so kind as to post a few images of your item (& the tag attached) , chances are much better that someone here can lend a hand to I.D. the item .
Without images , well ... it's a rather tough job , Nile .
Welcome to the forum too , by the way !

The company of Hugo Baruch was not a manufacturer but a supplier of theater and exposition supplies, with main office in Berlin. In short, they supplied both theater costumes as well as recreated historic designs for decoration purposes. I don't have any dates handy here, but as far as I can remember, they were very active around 1880/1890.
