My best friend goes to Africa quite often on missions trips and has brought back a few of these over the years!  Known as a Palaver chair and often touted as a kings chair.

Nice scene on it!

These are made and sold currently.  Many can be "aged" so hard to tell age from pictures.  You would know better seeing it in person.
