Title: What the heck are these?
Post by: Omega Entity on August 25, 2023, 07:58:48 pm
I know they're called Spade Coins, but I can't seem to find anything about this particular form of them. Most certainly replicas, as they appear to be some kind of advertisement/promo item for Guangzhou Restaurant - which one is anyone's guess: a google search reveals that there have to be thousands of them with that name lol. They're at least as old as mid-80s if not older, as they were brought back by an aunt who went overseas a fair amount. I'm trying to get a bit more info since I plan on trying to list them, assuming they'd be worth my time to do so.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Please disregard the first thread - the site told me there was an error so I resubmitted 😑

Looks to be a restaurant advertisement that is using the history of spade coins as a token.
