I have inherited several pieces from the Murphy Chair Company Owensboro, KY. I would like to know the value of the pieces and the history. There is very little information on the web for this company. We have a desk and chair that matches the dining room table, buffet and chairs. The seats are all needle point covered. Most of the pieces are in excellent shape but a few have damage. Would it be acceptable to refinish the damages or would this take away from the value? Thank You!
