Title: Ladies Home Journal Cabinet
Post by: therileeze on May 20, 2008, 07:40:33 am
Would anyone know the worth, origin or collectability of this cabinet. It's not in perfect shape but a great piece of furniture. Any info would be appreciated.

I believe if I owned that I would contact the publisher.

it's a tiger oak file cabinet.

I agree that it is an oak filing cabinet, but it was for "filing" dress, etc. patterns advertised and/or sold/distributed by the Ladies Home Journal magazine.

Thus, in my opinion, said file cabinet was/is an "advertising" cabinet for a retail store .... whereby one could purchase "the pattern" they seen in the Ladies Home Journal magazine.
