Title: Currier & Ives Plate - mispelled A "Mohe" in the Wilderness
Post by: bikergeek on May 23, 2008, 07:03:10 pm
This plate has the Currier & Ives "A Home in the Wilderness" scene.  At the bottom is written "A MOHE IN THE WILDERNESS  CURRIER & IVES".

With "Home" being mispelled, I'm just wondering if this plate is valuable.  There are no markings on the back of the plate which makes me believe it may not be an original.  Can anyone help???  Thank.  Kem

Be leery of all mispelled names and titles on such items because more often than not ..... they are intentional and meant to deceive the unwary buyer.
