Title: US SSS Arizona

My Grandfather gave me a chair that I've had in the attic for some time now and I just noticed that it says property of the US Government and is stamped US SSS Arizona on it.  Come to find out that my Grandmothers cousin had taken it off the Arizona and given it to them for a desk chair before he was killed on the ship.  I was wondering if it was worth anything?  My kids use it as a desk chair now.

Strange a chair off a ship would have rolling casters.  If it's indeed the real deal, it's a museum piece in my estimation.  Worth would be very hard to determine.

I'm a little confused...SSS is a designation given to submarines.  I can't imagine rolling chairs on a sub either!

it is a desk chair & the style is 1930's which mean's it was removed ? from the ship prior to it's sinking. typically everything is bolted down table chairs etc.

Most of my info on the chair was he said, she said. Everyone that knew about he chairs history has passed.  It seems a mystery.
