Hi Everyone,
I always find strange things:(
Does anyone knows what this object is? also there is a hole at the bottom perfectly cut, is there a chance this item was an ink pot?
It measure 14cm height.

Are there any hallmarks on the item? Looks silver or silverplate rather then pewter. Has the item been polished? Pewter tends to have a more matte sheen to it rather then this reflective. Is there a glass insert? I would think it should have a glass insert with it to be a ink pot. This would also explain the hole, it would be useful in taking out the glass insert.

No unfortunately no glass came with it :(
I don't see any marks at all .
What size normally would a hallmark be?

Pic of the bottom?
Could be German Silver - which isn't true silver!

Candle holder?

Thanks KC ;D
I don't think it is precious, I wonder if someone actually took the bottom of it for the hallmark. It is very strange piece might stay in the bathroom to put cooton ball into it:)(lol)

Hmmm, it seems like I've seen something like this before. It almost looks like a tea caddy, but I'm unsure about the hole in the bottom. Odd.

Perhaps a humidor ?
Perhaps caviar (missing 'chiller' pieces) ?

I was thinking that as well RegJoe - but it doesn't look talkk enough.
Can you post the dimensions? (Please)
