New thing on ebay, cash back. Shop for 3 months and then get your ebay bucks at the end of every 3 month period. I think it's workin' for me. I find myself on ebay more often now. What do you all think of it? Great idea or desperate effort on ebay's part to take back what Craigslist has taken from them?

I am not familiar with it. Where is the cash back coming from? Increased seller fees?

I don't think the fees are higher, I think they stayed the same. I have earned a whopping $.30. lol
But hey, it's gonna add up and I usually buy cheap stuff anyways. Every 3 months maybe I'll get 2 free antique postcards or something cheap for my birds. Free stuff is always nice.

I'd say fairly zero impact here , for me (& for other buyers who don't/won't use Paypal , credit cards & etc) , but it does impose a little incentive for folks to continue to purchase on Ebay .
Waiting to see the first Ebay auction for Ebay-bux , though !

I love it because I use Ebay to buy so many things anyway. Occasionally I by a fairly pricey item on Ebay, like that new Civil War get-up, and it's really nice to get a small rebate. I'm likin' it a whole lot. Last quarter I ended up with about $4.00 and so far I've racked up $6.23.

I sell more then buy, last period I had a whoopin $3.00 buck look around but then forgot about them and lost them. But I think it is a good thing a few bucks off something you want on Ebay is alway a good thing for sure. I'll just have to remember to buy something next time.
