Title: RC Allen Cash Register/Business Machine
Post by: smiles1007 on October 11, 2010, 01:41:01 pm
Here is another Business Machine my grandparents used at their place of business in the 1940-50's. It is a RC Allen Adding Machine with a cash drawer. It is in fair condition. Any information is kindly appreciated.

Keep an eye on this one - however it appears in much better shape

Quite common and yours does not appear to be in very nice shape.  I see many of these at sales since everyone has gone to computerized machines.

$300 is a crazy starting bid for that ebay one. Even in PERFECT shape, they are worth less than $100. Bad shape, right around $30-$40. Cool pieces of history but they are gigantic paperweights and don't really have a purpose these days except for display.
