Title: Brass & glass jars
Post by: marcylove on October 21, 2010, 10:08:20 am
I can't find anything like these out there.   :-\  There are no identifying marks on these.  I'm guessing maybe some coloniel folk art.  The clear jar seems much more ornate than the amber one, the punching (?) and the seam is better executed than the amber.

The lid on the clear jar seems to be all brass, while the amber jar lid is covered with brass.

I'm guessing jelly jars.

Any ideas on period and value?

Thanks guys!  ;D

Do the outer sleeves slip off of the jar?

Nice decorative jars!  Betting from the middlin 1900's!
