Very nice late Victorian hall tree !!  Has it been refinished ??  Pics look like it may have been !! Or a repro. Can`t see well enough to tell !! Does the seat lift for storage ??  They usually do !!  Really looks good sitting there !!

Nice piece! We used to have one very much like it when I was a lad, and it stored all of the kids' outdoor shoes.

Yes it is original and has been refinished.  The seat does lift up for storage.  A real beautiful piece of furniture.
