Title: please help with info about this oriental sculpture

I know this is old.Genuinely oriental.That is all it stands at.Im Just curios of its history or value.Any knowledge any of you have I would be greatful .Im completely new to using a forum ,know nothing about antiques ,worth a try I guess .

its very heavy ,dark wood ,what kind I dont know ?

i'm of no help about price/history, but if you wanted to know a bit more about subject matter i'm 99% sure it's hanuman, the hindu deity. and that particular story could be:
