I have not been able to locate a factory mark anywhere on the piece.  I've tried (at least) I think to decipher the signature and have tried googling anything similiar, but haven't located anything except that one posting on ebay listing this for 750.00.

Antique Questions Forum / Royal dux lamps
« on: December 20, 2009, 01:59:42 pm »
after searching and searching I have found that the below lamps are Royal Dux.  I have only found one listing on line for these exact lamps and they were being listed for $1750.00 each.  Does anyone know anything else about these?

I have been trying to research this ceramic statue that belongs to my father in laws estate.  i am unable to deciper the autograph on it.  I have found the same item listed on ebay for $750.00, but the poster admitted they have not researched the artist.  If anyone knows anything about this - or who the artist is so I can research this piece further I would greatly appreciate it.

We have (2) sets of these lamps - these are the smaller of the 2.  Someone added felt to the bottom of the lamps so if there are any markings I cannot access them without removing the felt.  They both are in working condition and are extremely heavy.

Should I remove the felt to get to the markings on them? If anyone knows, please tell me.

Okay, I'm comletely stumped on these lamps - i've looked all over the internet and cannot find anything on these.  They are approximately 18" high, I have (2) they are in working condition - there are no marks on the lamps that I can find.  They are definetely not my style and before I give them away or discard them, I'm trying to find out anything I can.

Again, any help is more then appreciated.

Thank you all very much - I did go through the paintings for him listed on artinfo.com and was unable to locate this painting.

First - I am unable to upload the photo's to this site - they can be found at

http://s939.photobucket.com/albums/ad231/joensue0923/

This painting has been in my husbands family for over 40 years.  His parents collected everything from coins and stamps to magazines and collector plates.  Many crystal items and lamps galore. We have just begun to sort through all of the items.

I've researched this artist and have found that the paintings do have value - but I have been unable to locate this painting online.  If anyone is familiar with this, I would really appreciate any and all info. available - especially looking for the value.

thank you very much for your help.
