Thank you, i do believe this is Indra.  I am posting another picture that i have cropped and hope that the mark might make sense to someone.  Does anyone have any idea on the value?

Here is another picture,  its really a very small faint mark.  It could be a mark from where it was cast.  Its not raised or anything so i cant do a rubbing.  Thanks again.

I bought this statue at an antique shop in 1978.  The lady in the shop showed me a picture of it in a book of some sort when i purchased it.  Regretfully, i didnt write down the info on it.  If anyone out there could let me know who the statue is of i would greatly appreciate it.  I believe it is bronze and there is a marking on the bottom center of it that appears to be a makers mark of some sort. Thanks in advance for any help.  MR
