Antique Questions Forum / Thrift store fodder or Ovington?
« on: January 24, 2010, 07:02:46 pm »
Hello everyone,
I do like antiques, but I have a lot to learn. I was the lucky? winner of this vase/urn at a white elephant Christmas party. The lady who brought it told me her husband had bought it from a man who said it was "very valuable". Well, she thought it was junk and the perfect white elephant gift.
I almost sent it to the thrift store, but the marking on the bottom intrigued me and so here I am to pick the brains of those who know. I did a search for Ovington, but none of the crests seem to match these markings.
Can anyone help?
Thank you in advance
