Antique Questions Forum / Anyone familiar with these items
« on: July 26, 2011, 02:12:37 am »
Snuff bottle? or ?...copper with cork stop, ornate. no marks

Bronze dish i think, very heavy, 6"x4" was definitely not massed produced. Not sure if its related to the alcohol brand, some writing is etched on bottom...looks like it says "bronze" its a freehand etch

Can't remember what this is called, but made of leather, wood, thin metal, copper? brass? Gold?

Any info at all on these 3 items would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks....the dummy

Has anyone seen a lamp like this before? No identifying marks that I can find.
Not sure if it hangs or sits (no place for cord if it sits. It is copper under the painted design.
Thanks......the dummy

No trace of wax in any of them, besides they would have to be tiny birthday candles.
The hole is approx. 1/4" in diameter. Here is a closeup. A dish of any sort would get
scratched up or break. This puppy is hard and heavy, but it does look like something should go there. >:(

Way too heavy to be a paper weight, can't pick it up with 1 hand. :P

Nobody is willing to venture a guess? ok I will show my ignorance then and
venture a guess...looks like some sort of centerpiece, although it weighs about
10 lbs. at least, solid brass cast I think. Belonged to and eccentric french woman.
Any other ideas? ???
