I had also come across this info on the web, but I believe that exhibit was only last year, and the prices on Kovels are so widely varied.  There is one that's similar, but as I said it's from 2000, and this set seems slightly different than the one they describe.

Can I submit pictures to Kovels for their opinion, or is there anyone who does that?  And who could I contact who might be interested in purchasing?  I'm not sure how antiques collectors or dealers usually operate, and I haven't had much luck locally.  The antique experts around here are pretty insensitive and only trying to keep you in the dark about what you have so they can make a profit from it...

I'm in possession of a Clewell pottery set, which I've been told is rare, one of a kind, etc. but no one locally seems to know its value.  Kovels.com lists something similar for around $1,100 - it has a copper (or bronze, not sure) tray with a large pitcher and several cups/mugs, each decorated around the upper edge.

If this truly is "one of a kind," can I even go by that pricing estimate (which was from 2000, by the way)?  If not, how might I get it priced?  Who would I sell it to, if I decide to?

Thanks for any help.
