Hi it's Pennyshahin here from stevenage ,england  -the weathers bright and sunny but by god it's a cold wind that sends shivers up your back and other bits,my father in law recently died at the good age of 92 he was a chess fanatic ,my wife and I are selling of some of his items as we intend to move here are a few some of his chess sets I wonder if any of you could shed some light on their origin and possible value -should we decide to sell,great forum-i've tried to add more pictures but it says file to big is there away round that.

Hi my wife is a collector of Alice Dudeney books who was an author who lived in Lewes sussex England , I just wanted to know if  there is anybody on here who know of her -my wife has got about 40 of her books some are 100 years old-thanks for reading.

Hi I'm new to this but I've been looking for an interest fo ages and antiques are something that have always fascinated me so I thought I'd take a bit more of an interest in them ,I have a question my sister in law has a statue /figure of a boy carrying books and she loves it,it's very detailed and about 6-7" tall ,he's brown clay looking but it's a dirty stainy type of clay ,can someone tell me more about it and how much it might be worth ,thanks
