Antique Questions Forum / Sterling silver Japan tea cup and saucer

I have many of my grandmothers old tea cups and saucers that are not really a set but this certain one caught my eye.  I need to know where I can get some information on this piece.  The saucer is divided into four sections with two parts green and two white.  The white has roses and the green has writing in Japan.  The cup is the same on the outside and has one rose on the inside.  The cup and saucer is outlined in gold with fadeing on both.  Can someone please give me some direction to go as I know how most appraisers can be.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
