I checked out the links and saw that the button may have come off of a French bread. At during WW1 or WW2. I would like to find out more about the dress or nightie but not sure how to go about finding any info on that. I appreciate everyone's help!

So a year or so ago I bought this vintage looking suitcase from a thrift shop for $1.00. I peeked inside but didn't look that good and saw that it didn't look too good inside (or smell good for that matter, lol) Well yesterday I opened it and found some pretty cool things. There is what looks to be a dress inside, it is old and yellowing but I can tell it's a dress. It's made of like a lacey looking material but it doesn't have any tags or anything. I also found a few buttons, one of which is brass and reads "MILITARIES EQUIPMENTS" on it. The suitcase is a hard side, Samsonite suitcase. It has a cloth lining inside with a few pockets, and it has the remains of a stamp on top although I can't make out where it's from.
My question is does anyone know anything about any of the items in the suitcase or maybe the suitcase itself? When was it made, made what time period these items could have come from. I have included some pics to help. Thanks!!

Antique Questions Forum / Charleton AWCO figurines
« on: July 23, 2011, 10:02:53 am »
I bought these two figurines at an estate sale yesterday and I was wondering if anyone has any inormation on them. I know they were made by a company called Abels, Wasserberg, & Co and the male figurine has a sticker on the back that says "Charleton Hand painted 3970"
I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about these figurines, perhaps if they are worth anything (other than what I paid for them)
Thanks.

Antique Questions Forum / Vintage James Walsh Whiskey Bottle
« on: November 17, 2010, 04:07:13 pm »
I came across this empty bottle today at a thrift shop. The label reads James Walsh Blended Whiskey and is clear. There is an imprint on the bottom
D388 70 A (the A is in a circle) 51
         39
There is also a 34 cents South Carolina Liquor Tax stamp on the front in that helps.
Anyone know anything about this bottle, maybe the year or value?
Thanks!!

Does anyone know anything about these glass chicken figurines? I believe they were made by Lenox, but not sure.  I got them today at an antique shop. The are about 4-5 inches tall. They do not have any marking on them.

Antique Questions Forum / anyone have an idea about these?

I was wondering if anyone had seen or has any idea about these 2 roosters.  I came across them last week and since I LOVE chicken stuff, I had to have them.
They are made of tin and have hangers on the back for hanging on the wall. No markings on either one of them.

Antique Questions Forum / cool jewelry box
« on: April 24, 2010, 07:30:57 pm »
Today I came across this cool jewelry box.  The lid and box itself are cloth covered and the lid looks like cross-stitching but it's actually smooth.  I can't find anything about this on google.  Anyone have any ideas?
