Antique Questions Forum / Norman Rockwell Wall Plaque?
« on: May 23, 2012, 12:48:33 pm »
I really don't know much about Normal Rockwell but I came across this plaque at a yard sale for around 50 cents and multiple people kept telling me "anything with his name on it is worth at least a little"...I actually liked it and it was only 50 cents but I was just wondering a little more info on it...the wood definitely feels a bit old, I figured it's from the 50's-70's or something...I'm sure it's not worth anything but hey, I need to get rid of a lot of stuff so it was $10-20 or something, I wouldn't complain  :D...just curious on some information about it though!

Antique Questions Forum / Old Amber Lamp
« on: April 28, 2010, 05:11:32 pm »
This lamp comes from my mother's aunt...I BELIEVE it's from around the 40's, maybe a bit earlier, but I'm nore sure...I just know that it's from somewhere in that time period

can anybody shed some light or information? All I really know is that it's an amber lamp and that it's old, so if it looks familiar to anybody, or there's any markings I should look out for, or anything value/date related, let me know!  :)

Antique Questions Forum / Re: Need Info (Kerosene Heater)

thanks for the links! I figured the ones from the early-mid 19th century weren't worth much, because I know they're common, and it seems like a lot of them were made during that time, but I've yet to see anybody with one as old as this...if it's not worth anything, I'm sure it'll be nice to clean it up and use it as a decoration, but with something so old, I've just wanted to be sure...a lot of people seem to have them around the 1910's but this one is around 100 years before that so it surprised me to see it

hey guys, I was wondering if anybody had some more information, value, etc on something I came across today

it's a Perfection Kerosene Heater, dated at 1818...there's #185 on it, so I'd assume that's a patten or something of the sort...I'll try posting up a picture, but I was just curious in general because of it being so old, I tried looking up some information but couldn't really find anything

thanks  :)
