Fancypants- if you are able to send another picture it's ok to send in a personal message if you don't want to add it to the server.  It looks to me like I can receive personal messages with the profile settings I have.

And for anybody- since this is not an antique is it ok for me to post any other questions I have about it?

Thanks,

Thanks for the quick replies and the photo.  I'll be sending that on to my brother and sisters since none of us could recall what it looked like years ago.  This will help me get started on my project.

Fancypants- If you had time could I ask you to send a photo with a closer top view?

Thanks much,

Antique Questions Forum / Wooden Children's Step Stool Questions

I think this would be an antique since it's around 50+ years old but I did find today that they (or a similar one) can still be bought new.  I have an old wooden step stool (chair) that I plan to restore for my grandson who is about 3 months old now.  I had this when I was young and remember using it to reach the bathroom sink and kitchen counters  ;)  The stool is currently missing the step or back, it works as either based on which position the back/step is in.  The question I have is if anyone can tell me, or better yet send me a picture of, what the painting on the seat is supposed to look like.  There is a child in the bottom left corner holding balloons which are in the top left corner and in the middle is a carousel or maybe a circus ring.  I think the colors are just blue and red.  I have seen new stools/chairs like this on the web but they are not painted, however I do believe that this came new with the picture already painted.  I've included some photos, three of mine and one of what a new unfinished one looks like.

Thanks in advance for any help,
