Antique Questions Forum / Oriental Bronze Mask

Have a small (3"x4") Oriental mask made of bronze.  Pupils, nose & mouth are cutout.  Short hair & bangs molded onto head.  Obviously extremely old or ancient - has anyone heard of something like this or might have some idea of its history?
