Antique Questions Forum / Yellow Cosco Step-stool

I found this step-stool today at an estate sale where most items appeared to be from the 1950's.  I have found some on ebay but they were recreations or had a chair.  

I am wondering if anyone knows about this step-stool and a value for it.  I have plans to sandblast it and repaint it to match the original colors to use in my kitchen.
