Antique Questions Forum / spanish Porron, trying to price them
« on: February 10, 2005, 09:11:29 am »
I had 3 porrons that had been hand blown into molds, 30 years old. Bought in Barcelona Spain. All 3 Leather covered, original straps, no liquid ever in them. I consider them in good condition other than a little dust. No cracks, no chips, original plastic caps. Largest one is about Quart size with stamp on bottom "IPES Marca Regestrada". Two smaller ones about pint size. Problem is, one of the smaller ones has not been returned in divorce, ex has been court ordered to pay me for it. Any one have a clue as to the cost of this missing piece? i've done extensive reserch found newer ones, hand painted & plain glass $12-$35. nothing compairs to these pieces.

i had 3, all are covered in leather. still have original plastic caps, original ties. No liquid ever put into them.  One about quart size with markings on the bottom, IPESA marca regestrada. Two about pint size, one of these are missing. Had gotten them in Barcelona while watching the glass makers do their thing. I consider them to be in good condition, no chips, no tears in the leather. a little dust.

just divorced, hubby hasnt returned all of my items. Namely one of 3 set of 30 yr old spanish wine decanters called porrons. Courts say if he cant come up with 3rd one i can have him pay me for its cost. Hence problem, how do i get 3 pieces appraised when i only have two? As well, how do i find the person to help me accomplish this?
