Antique Questions Forum / Marble vase
« on: January 11, 2015, 08:19:40 pm »
Hello. I shopped Goodwill today. I found this heavy what looks to be marble vase. It has birds & flowers on it. There is no mark on the bottom and that is why I did not take a pic of the bottom. Does anyone know what era it could of been made or what artists like to make vases that are super heavy in a similar style? Any help would be appreciated!

Greetings. I found this vase at Goodwill today. For some reason, probably because it is green :D it caught my eye. I do not know if it is Chinese or Japanese. If anyone can read the marker (the artist's name) or at least what era it could have been made. Any help would be appreciated.

The border is gold. The "pockets" are green and the rest is clear.

the "pockets" are green, not the whole piece. The edge is gold all around.

It's 7 1/2 inches round. They do indent but in the back.
