EBay Forum / Not enough on ebay for me.
« on: August 23, 2010, 02:44:48 am »
William Starkweather created over 4000 paintings, wrote many articles for the Mentor Magazine and illustrated books from 1899 to 1910 but they are not available on ebay. In addition, many people must have letters he wrote, postcards from the Museum in Endless Caverns Virginia and other ephemera. Please put it on ebay!

I am seeking information for an upcoming book on the artsit William E.B. Starkweather who painted with Twachtman and Sorolla and lived next door to Hopper. Starkweather had a museum in Endless Caverns, Virginia for 30 years. We need ephemera, stories about his life and paintings that have survived. The Metropolitan Museum is using a Starkweather painting from their collection in the 2011 New York Calendar.

I am writing a book and looking for ephemera, articles, illustrations and paintings by the American artist, William E. B. Starkweather.
He was a student of Sorolla and Twachtman and lived next door to Edward Hopper in Greenwich Village. The Metropolitan Museum is using a painting of Starkweather's in their New York calendars for 2011.
