Antique Questions Forum / Old Japanese plate and laquered box

I am trying to find a place to learn the value of 2 pieces I have that I inherited. One is an old Japanese plate with family or ? crests on it and the red stamp on the back. The other is a rectangle laquered box with a gold stamp on it.  These were my God Fathers and he was in WWII. Thank you
