I was given a sewing stand that belonged to my grandmother, don't know if it went back further than that. I would guess it to be 100yrs if not older.
Designs on front, around a lift up top ( pieces are applied hand carved. There are dividers inside the top under the lid. Two drawers, with a design hand carved between them. Sets on legs approx. 15" high. dark finish.
About 16 to 18 inches square. about same of cabinet room total.
There were some wooden packs of needles, thimbles, old needles etc inside and actually the thread on wooden spools are there too.
Does anyone have an idea what the value is?
My sister calls it one of the Martha Washington Stands
