Antique Questions Forum / Austin artist oil

Trying to research this artist, I just purchased 2 oils on board
from B ? Austin...Marlin Art Co from New York sticker on back.
They cannot help, say the art is from auction about 25-30 years ago.
Anyone with information, value etc I would greatly appreciate.

I just found a signed water color behind a photo from my grandfathers.
It is a picture of a small horse, cartoon like form very small, then a rather large vase with 2 yellow roses. they are much larger than the horse?
hard to describe. these 2 objects are sitting on what looks like a red table cloth ?? if anyone has any ideas of how to track this i would appreciate it, thanks
