Found a useful website: http://www.silvercollecting.com/patternguides/communityplatepatterns.html

Gives some information on the Oneida company, and some of their "Community" flateware designs. Some of the links on the site don't seem to work though.  :-\

1920's & 1930's looks like the years it was produced ... Not as old as I had hoped the spoon to be (always wishing to find something on the beach from the 1800's  ;) ), but not such a bad find either! ;D

That's as far as I got in my search ... Trying to find more info beyond "Oneida" and "Community" just gave me a big headache.  :-[

Hi Everyone!

While on a 2 week vacation on the coast of Northern California, my husband and Ifound this antique-looking spoon.
We were walking along a beach and found it washed ashore buried halfway into the sand.
We decided to keep it, thinking it'd make an interesting and unique souviner from our trip.

It's obviously a bit worn down from being tossed around in the ocean.

On the back of the spoon I noticed it said "Paramount Plate" .. I tried to Google the name for more info and idn't really come up with much. There are another set of words next to that which I haven't been able to make out.

So, I was wondering if anyone had any information on this thing?

Here are a few photos:

Thanks so much! :)
