Antique Questions Forum / Cast iron Item "What is it"

I have a cast iron item that i purchased at an auction, at the time of purchace auctionear stated it was maybe a fireplace piece or a boot scraper or he really did not know what it was. This item had about 4 heavy layers of paint on it, so you could not really make out any detail on item ,I have since removed all paint on item and still can not  tell what I have . This item measures 9 3/4 " wide by 15" inches tall, arched top with face in the middle, ornamental type markings on the front. Back has what appears to be 3 iron type loops for attaching something or to something. I would be only to happy to send you a digital picture of this item if you could help me in my search to find out what it is and where it came from
