It says CHA (then an s with a dot below it) FRODS. 115 NEW BOND STREET LONDON 20892.

This is on the face of the clock. I cannot find any other marks on it anywhere. I was speaking to someone earlier that told me the above name and address would correspond to only the working parts of the clock, and not the rest of it (which is what im interested in).

I received a clock from my grandmother for my 21st birthday, it is Scottish and is a small mantle clock with a round face. What I am interested in is the figure on the top. It appears to be brass, and is a large rooster standing on top of a pile of books and a python? My grandmother informed me that this figure had some kind of significance, which she could not remember, and i'm very interested if anyone can enlighten me on what this is! Sorry I do not have a picture as the clock is not with me at the moment, and I cannot find anything on the internet that even slightly resembles it.

Please help!!   :)
