i have a metal, probably tin, plate with "rms queen mary 1936" stamped on it. it's a simple plate, so i think it would have been used by the crew. it is about 30cm in diameter and quite thick, appearing to be hollow. there is also a tankard, about 20cm tall, made from the same material with the same ship name and date stamped on it.
does anyone have any idea what these items might be, or links to sites which might be able to tell me about them. i have looked around on the net but it is such a wide area to research that i'd be grateful if someone could give me some ideas.
