Antique Questions Forum / Old Safe

My father in law picked up an old safe. All we know is what is on the front of it. It says Paragon New York 1852 It looks like an antique office safe but were not positive. How would we find out the company who made this? There is nothing else printed on the safe. Any help would be appreciated.
