Antique Questions Forum / 1918 Navy standard coffee urn???

Cleaning out the grandparents cottage and decided to take home this coffee urn. Has been at the cottage since my father can remember. Family is more curious as to where it came from or more info on it as I dont expect it to have much of any value.
Couldnt find any info really on it searching the web and the mfg (Blickman) hasnt returned my email.
Heres what it says:
NAVY STANDARD COFFEE URN
20 GALLON DATE 1918
S.BLICKMAN NEW YORK , NY
Appears to be aluminum with steel legs and has been modified over the years.
Anyone has the slightest ideas about this piece? Thanks in advance
