Can anyone give me some info on this Eskimo doll i have? I don't see any marks, and afraid to remove the leather clothing, because i don't want to mess anything up. She stands about 7" tall, and has sleep eyes.

If there is anymore info that you need let me know, and i will try to get it for you.

Thanks  ;D

ok i got a few pics....

The first one i was trying to get a pic of what looked like could be a mark of some kind, but even with a magnifying glass i can not make out what it says, but it looks intentional. but it also looks like just a wide scratch in a straight line.....lol

The middle pic, if you look at the top on the left side of the hinge you can kinda see the 15 scratched into it

I wanted to share this piece with you guys, and see if you could tell me anything about it. It looks like 151 is scratched on the back. Thinking it once said 951, and on the rim it looks as if there is a scratch on the the top, that could be a mark, but too small or worn to read.

I may be wrong, but i was always told that if the stone setting is opened back it is a good stone. is this correct?

Here are a couple pics.

true true...can't and wont argue with success  ;D was just trying to understand it i guess....I thought maybe i missed something....lol. I have no idea what it was supposed to look like...lol.....to me it was a metal turtle body, with a glass shell, and a light in it  ;D which is why I just threw it out there cheap.

I'll let you know how it goes...

Oh nice!!! I would be more than happy to get that....lol like I said i wasn't expecting much more than 5. That explains a lot then  ;D

Antique Questions Forum / Turtle lamp getting a response I didn't expect.
« on: October 17, 2011, 02:31:17 pm »
Hey guys, I didn't bother posting this here before because I didn't think it was that old, and really didn't think it was worth the effort to put here.
I want to post some pics of it here now, because i am wondering why it might be getting a bigger response than I expected. I didn't expect to get much more than 5 dollars for it. about 40% of the people who look at it watch it, and it already has 3 bids. The reason i am curious is because I usually don't get any major responses til it is closer to the auction end.......maybe there are just a lot of turtle collectors out there  ;D

These are the pics i used:

You might find this interesting, and maybe get a clue to further your search.

The picture on the right looks like it could have been inspired by yours, or vise-verse
