Antique Questions Forum / Identification & information needed on possibly japanese Cloisonne
« on: April 05, 2011, 03:56:40 pm »
I have recently started going through boxes of antique pottery/china and other things that belonged to my grandmother before she passed away. i came across an interesting vase that I am hoping to find information on. I believe it is called a cloisonne and that it may be possibly japanese. There does not seem to be any noticeable makers marks on it. However, while looking at the inside of the vase with a small flashlight, i did notice that there seems to be some kind of drawing on the inside.I tried taking a picture of it so I could include it with this post so that others could see what i am talking about. It appears to looks like maybe a dragon??? of some sort or a snake??? I hope someone here will maybe know something about this piece or its possible history. Thanks in advance for any help or information you may be able to give me.
