I did not purchase this. We are having an auction Monday and a guy brought this in for us to auction off for him. He says he paid $4000 for it. It has the dovetail joints and where the old nails are it is starting to split some. It won't go for that much in the auction though. Just curious about it.

Ok... Here is what I found out so far. It's Louis XVI style. It's no older than 1890 because of the stamp on the headboard. It supposedly wouldn't be there if it was older.

Sorry bout the first pic being sideways. Doing all this from my phone and couldn't rotate the pic. Here are the markings.





If you take the drawers out of the night stand, somebody wrote Bellanger's name on it and another name. I couldn't make out the first name but it was J. Desmond I think. Looked like it had to be signed while being built because there is no way you could sign a name the way it sits now.

I cant find anything about this furniture. Just curious if someone here can help.
