Antique Questions Forum / Re: Vintage/Antique Medicine Bottles

Thank you for all the very helpful information.  BTW, it is Higgins Drawing Ink and not Wiggins.  Sounds like they are not worth much, however, I'll put them on eBay just the same. I don't care to keep them myself.  Thanks, again!

I have looked on eBay for comparables for the 3 bottles pictured below.  Some sell for quite a lot, but I can't make out what makes them more or less valuable.  If anyone can give me some indication of their importance or value, I would really appreciate it.  I'm just interested in getting a fair price for them.
Details about them, include:
Triturate-Calumel and Sodium Bicarb by John Wyeth & Bro. Inc. Philadelphia;
Empty bottle is actually imprinted on the bottom with Wiggins, Drawing Ink and has a stopper that says Purex on top of it;
Papayotin by The Abbott Alk. Co., Chicago (tiny brown pellets)
Thanks!

I see the I S mark, as well.  Thanks for the more in depth explanation.  It's very much appreciated.

Sorry, how can it be made by International Cir. when it says Wm. Rogers and has the mark from his collection in the mid 1800s, according to some research I found?

I would like to know the value of these pieces by Wm. Rogers, American silversmith.  I estimate them to be done in the mid 1800's judging by the mark with an eagle and a star on either side of "Wm. Rogers".  There are 8 iced teaspoons, 6 butter knives and 6 forks.
Thanks..

Thank you, so much!  I'll research the other areas you suggested and post any useful information for future use.

Anyone know if this painter is sought after or collectible?  I know he was active in the southern CA in the 1930s, and was chief of expositions at the LA County Museum of Art for 43 years.  I don't know for sure what style this painting is considered.

I've attached two photos, one of the complete painting and one of a detail of the same painting.  It has some wear/damage, which you can see.
Value???

Can anyone give me an indication of the value this clown doll might have on the open market or eBay?   I know eBay doesn't usually bring top price, however it seems real collectors are always "looking". He reminds me of Emmitt Kelly, but I'm not sure of it's origin, except it is from a private collection of an estate I am liquidating.  I have others, but he is the only large one.   He stands about 21" tall.  The mark on the back of his neck says R & R.  I have more detail photos if you need them for ID.
Thanks!!!

Good point!  But I knew the family it came from and it doesn't make sense that it came from the 70's.  I'll do some more checking on details on my end as to the song and also the family.  If it is from the 70s, how does it shape up in terms of collector interest and value?  Does anyone recognize the maker?
Thanks.

I'm guessing this musical Teddy is from the mid 40s to early 50s.  It's German and appears to be handmade by a private label - Florence Gentemann.  It is dressed in a clown suit and plays..."Send in the Clowns" music.  It's fully jointed and clown costume can be taken off.  See photos.  It's in good condition, except for a few scratches on the leather paws, only a few and some minor repairs to the costume.  Can anyone estimate the value?  I can provide more photos if needed.
Thanks!
