True...very true. However, all hope is not lost. Some album covers (original lithographs) have the real $$$ value versus the LP inside. Depends on the LP. For example a Sgt Pepper's album without the cover is worthless. With cover..in the $$$ range.

Hey everybody, look at your book collections and see if you can find any hardcovers that are FIRST editions in very good condition with dustcovers. I just found out a James Michener book I have called SPACE from 1982, a first edition with a dust jacket in very good condition,  is worth $2,000!. I paid only $25 for it 30 years ago.

Yup..many small auctions do not show up on here. These are major auction houses in here which have signed up with proxibid. Still this site has many cool features for referencing as well one of which is if you click on Webcast Auctions and then click on Catalogue..shows you what is up for auction. Many extremely interesting items are in there..Plus the site tells you the names of the major auction houses in your area.

My camera sold for $92 on Ebay. I put the starting bid at $75 and 2 people were interested. The last bid came in 2 seconds before the bidding time ended!.

If anybody has first edition books from 1900-1975 in very good condition with very good condition dust jackets (hardcovers) let me know. I can research their values. Fiction or non-fiction. I will need the year of printing and publishers name besides the author and title info. Cheers :)

The seam goes all the way upto the neck on both sides. No bubbles that I can see. I just took out my suoer magnifying glass, It has the letters U, C and the number 8 on it on the bottom. The cap is quite peculiar. It has a twist-tie kind of thing. It was sitting in the shop along with other old mini-alcohol bottles from the 50s and 60s but the guy said this was from the 1900s.

Hiya everybody, Happy 4th to all..
Picked up this at an antique shop for $5. Guy there told me it's from the early 1900s..it sure looks old (style)..I did some research on google and not able to find anything like it..HELP..!!!..lol!. It is 4 in by 1.75 in. There is some markings on the bottom but since it's a clear bottle, cannot read it.
