Antique Questions Forum / What about a Kutani chinaware set?
« on: May 20, 2006, 08:36:03 pm »
I have a Kutani Japanese set of chinaware.  The pieces are very light and gold trimmed with leaves and pastel flowers.  Pretty set....Is Kutani worth anything?

Antique Questions Forum / 1775 Rare Coin
« on: May 20, 2006, 11:45:58 am »
I have an old, rare and super heavy coin.  On its front there are two wolves holding a banner with a crown over it.  In the banner is the year 1775.  The only writing I can make out on the coin is this: MOHLTA.  On its back is a wreath on the left and right and in the middle a backwards 3 with two lines going up and down through it.  There is also a K and an M under the symbol and a  crown above it.  The coin is about the size of a US silver Dollar and may way even more than the US silver dollar.  It is copper, I think.  Any ideas on its worth?

Antique Questions Forum / Japanese (?) X-rated saucers
« on: May 20, 2006, 03:38:49 am »
I was just given three saucers each with a scene of a samurai and geisha girl doing it.  They show everything...in three different positions!  The background is gold.  It looks handpainted with intricate details.  The colors used are greys, orange, white, black and blues.  On the bottoms there are two japanese symbols--the one on the top looks sort of like a capital R followed by a space and then a period; the bottom symbol has two dots over a mountain.  The saucers are trimmed with gold and I was wondering if its worth anything or should I send it to the trash where it belongs?  Thanks.
