Antique Questions Forum / Glider rocking chair

Looking for information on a glider rocking chair that was found in a garage on the east coast approximately 50 years ago.  Has 2 dragons carved into seatback.  Hardware is castiron and has "pat may 23 76" molded into it.  Nails look handmade, or at least not mass produced.
